Living with ALS is always an adventure. When the weather gets chilly, which it does in New England, that adventure moves inside for me. I have never really appreciated the cold. I appreciate it less with ALS. My body just doesn’t work when it is cold these days.
This makes the arrival of spring a special cause for celebration. Warmth, light, birds, rabbits, flowers, cocktails and music on the porch… This year we add vaccines and a collective exhale to the list. It’s big.
It seems fitting that this website is getting a fresh spring start as well. Along with a face-lift from some talented friends, we are working to build the site into a resource for learning about ALS and how to help. We also hope to tell a bit of our story. As I mentioned earlier, it’s always an adventure.
